Beloved covert knight
Drifting away so sadly
You are my dear friend.

I
thought that I knew you
But now I'm not sure
You used to be friendly
But not anymore
Each day we grow farther
Apart and I'm sad
We used to be best friends
The best I ever had.
At some point things changed
And our lives split apart
I miss you so much
In my life – In my heart.
Sometimes things must happen
And friends drift away
I wish it weren't us
I wish not this way.

ReplyDeleteSadly beautiful!!!
ReplyDeleteI think the sad fact of friends drifting away is why I keep to myself so much these days. The pain is unbearable. Thanks for giving words to the feeling.
ReplyDeleteEmotional lines nicely made.
ReplyDeleteYou have given words to the feeling of sadness at drifting apart. Nicely done.

ReplyDeleteThank you for your comment. As my book is being self published I have to put them on different places to sale myself, eventually they will go on Amazon.co.uk but I have to wait for them to send the packaging. I lost track with lots of followers due to pc fault but now has a new one, had it not been for Alex J. Cavanaugh mentioning you I would never had known how to get in touch.
Hope you are well.
Yvonne.
One is wise who does not expect permanence; everything is change. Happy is he who embraces alteration.
