E for My Early End of the Z-A Challenge

Thank You Very Much

To my blogging friend Leo
Thank you so very much...
But sad to say I am also sorry
that I have to end this early
the Z-A Challenge of yours
coz' several blogging buddies
will be around to celebrate with me
in my 2nd year blog anniversary
starting tomorrow early
and that even includes you
come the 29th is your due.

So here's an early toss to success of your Z-A Challenge in 26 Days!!!

It started on the first day
On a cool, rainy day of November
Leo's Z to A Challenge in 26 Days
Where I gladly participated
Though I missed some days!

Thanks for the Catch-Up Sunday
I worked on letters I missed from 3rd Day
W, K, I with haiku treats
Some few loved most the Kiss!

I would surmise its the best challenge
That I had ever experienced
In this interesting blog world
Where everyone writes, young and old.

It pains me to end it early
But I can't do much truly
The celebration of my blog anniversary
Has to be done simultaneously.

Let me thank you for the opportunity then
For inviting me to join this Z-A Challenge
It's an accomplishment I can be proud of
And can look back someday soon
When I will already be gray and old....

This challenge made me crazy
I'd wake up in the middle of night
Thinking what to write for the next day
Afraid to be late for my post to be up
As everyone seems to have done early enough!

At this juncture let me introduce my dear readers
Some few dear and nice blogging friends
who will be guest posting in my blogoversary
It will start with Vee of Psyche's Visage
Followed by Anya of Kareltje N' Ikke
Then Nanka of Quills will grace the Day
And Leo of I Rhyme Without Reason will follow suit
To be finally ended by Someone Is Special of Few Miles!

Happy reading to one and all!!!

F for Fireworks...!!!

I am happy to celebrate
Just another memorable date
It's my "Dreams" milestone
Two years since it was born.

It had been a happy journey
For a fledgling poet like me
In the challenging field of writing
Inspiring prose and poetry.

There were trying moments
Quitting was all I contemplated
But I am grateful for the push
From supportive friends and faithful muse.

Blogging had become my passion
Every time I am left alone
By kids who'd pursue their careers happily
And a hubby far away to keep a roof for his family.

I wish to stay for good in this blogging world
To keep boredom away from the fold
And to gain more blogging friends so true
Anya, Nanka, Amias and Diana, to name a few!

So let the fireworks begin today
Of my blogging anniversary on the 28th day
Guest bloggers will grace in a happy way
From the 26th til the 30th day!

G for Goosebumps

I bought that wind chime, six years back in Baguio City. It is believed to ward off evil every time it chimes. It is even used to enhance the good chi in a house, according to Chinese belief. So there, I bought one.

It chimes whenever someone comes near the main door as it comes into contact with the head and I get alerted. When my kids come home from school I rush to hug them.

It was  late night when everyone had  retired to bed and the main door was closed. As I was falling into sleep I suddenly heard the bell chime. Who could it be at this odd hour, I wondered....I was alone with kids  with my hubby away. I tiptoed silently and saw through a  peep hole.

There was no one. Is someone hiding and playing tricks with me? I waited for another chime. It did not occur.....I dared not open the door but the long silence gave  me creepy feelings. It sent shivers down my spine.

Am I imagining? Whatever it is, I will not remove that wind chime. Because I know when my kids arrive from school or when someone is entering our house without permission. As I was turning back to the bed room, I heard the chime distinctly and clearly again. Sure a trespasser was there and his intentions were not honest as he hid from peep hole. I again walked gingerly to  peep thro the peep hole.

What I saw gave me a hearty laugh. It was my parrot Charlie that escaped from the cage and fluttering about between the chime and the cage. I tried to be brave and opened the door to put it back in  the cage.

It was then that a strong hand clasped my neck from behind......How foolish I was, I thought!
