Not a river but a stream
Where I first met you
Not the second but the first
You were sixteen
Not fifteen but sixteen
My dearest queen
Not a king but a queen
Down by the old, old stream
Not a river but a stream

Yessss…my favorite song in
high school…I guess a girl scout song…and I would like to share it with you my
blogger-friends…..........This is the best I can do for this Sunday's OSI prompt! :)
Glad I still could recall the lines…:D

Written for One Single Impression
Prompt: River
Hi Amity ~~ I cannot get your 'River' post to open for comments. It goes into a 'Disqus_thread' (???) loop instead. No place or visible way to leave you a comment.I did change my river poem to keep the flow better. I've had it this way before but made a swith-the-lines choice for rhyme's and reading aloud's sakes.Thank your for your critique, I appreciate it very much...I will come back to leave a comment on your nice "River" poem. This 'Insecure Writer Support Group' sounds like something I might need. If I remember I will check back on the first Wednesday of November to see what is going on. Thank you for the heads up.
ReplyDeleteI am trying to post Jim's comment above, something wrong with DisQus again...Sorry readers for the inconvenience....
