That Nagging Truth

My mind needs space
to relieve thoughts of biting
insecurities!

Hey fellow bloggers and followers…I am back for the second time around, for the Insecure Writer’s Support GroupBut really, those biting insecurities I have in mind do not leave me.

The nagging truth, you wish to know? There are many. I have too many irons in the fire. My work in office demand my full attention and involvement that at the end of the day I become jaded physically and mentally. I have the chores in the house that all home makers are burdened with. Yet another, of my own choice to make some extra money, is the baking I do against orders. Baking to my dismay I found is a zealous mistress that invites full attention and no diversion. Then there are the concerns of a mother with her three children away in another city and monitoring their well being on a daily basis. To cap them all, I am not endowed with a strong body and my health is fragile. These are the reasons I am unable to write as much as I wish to.

What am I gonna do? I am torn between leaving my blog totally and blog only when I have spare time.

I feel sad that as my blog gets older, the more I have become busier in life. Working Mom’s dilemma you know.

But at times I would like to attribute it to my sense of insecurities born out of imaginary fears. I seldom could overcome this. Well, whatever is that nagging truth, I will try my best to be visible when I can write and drop by everyone’s blog when I have the luxury of time. I am aware of the fact that no man’s life is free from problems.”Into each life some rain must fall”—but why open your umbrella while the sun is shining?” That is why I put aside my umbrella and writing these lines.

Truth is I missed you all my dear supportive bloggers. My absence makes me incomplete.

"Blogging was once and will always be sapid for me, whatever the cost!"

H for Harmony

Man lives in enduring harmony
In the wonderful vast universe
With all its creatures, varied and  diverse
Some big and some tiny.

Some hostile  and many gentle
Some rugged and a few fearful
Some harmful and many helpful
While many are simply beautiful.

The colourful  butterfkies and the humming  bees
The mighty forests with the giant trees
The tall mountains with snow clad peaks
The flooded rivers coursing the countries

The turbulent seas staying within  shores
The seasonal rains unfailingly falls
The sun, moon and stars making regular seasons
The nature's fury is restrained always.

Man in peace manages to reside
With all of God's creations side by side
Grateful to the Lord for blessings countless
Basking in His love that is ever boundless

L for Little Urchin

Impish li'l urchin
Happily clutched a toy gun
Sheer delight, aimed he.

~*~*~*~

Notes on the photo: We saw this naughty urchin in a neighborhood while my hubby and I were looking for flowers. He boasted of a gun (toygun) owned by his father, according to him. When I tried to take a photo of him, he instead aimed the gun at me with sheer delight. Poor little boy, he will grow up to be a rogue again....:(

R for Rain...

I hear the patter of an unrelenting rain
Drenching the trees and bending the branches
Bathing the carpet of shivering flowers
Soaking in full the parched brown earth

In a little while the rain seems slowing
The dark clouds were seen lifting
Out of pall of gloom the sun is showing
Soon the sky was bright and shining

The roads  are full with water  flowing
Bringing out  the  urchins smiling and  dancing
Soon the paper boats in plenty  are seen sailing
And the people on the  road to homes scurrying

I love to play in the rain
I love the cool it gives
I love its touch on  my skin
I love the muddy smell it gives
I love  the droplets falling on my head
I love the spattering noise on my roof
I love to watch it falling outside my window

Skywatch Friday: Like a Child's Work of Art!

We went mountain-trekking with my family last Saturday very early in the morning while the surroundings were still enveloped with misty fog. We had no inkling of what a fortune awaited us.And soon when we were near the mountains, this beautiful sky in all its splendour greeted us on our way. It seemed as if the sky was an art work of a child with the playful strokes of her brush giving beautiful pastel hues. I could even see a reflection of the mountains in the sky...:-) Tis' a beautiful world, indeed, one can't get enough of it! ;-)

For by grace we are saved through faith
Not by good works, lest any man should boast
It is the gift of God!

Skywatch Friday: Bangui Wind Farm

A wind farm is a group of wind turbines in the same location used for production of electric power. The Bangui Wind Mills were built by the NorthWind Power Development Corporation to contribute  its share in reducing the emission of harmful greenhouse gases (GHGs) that cause global warming and to generate power for   rural electrification  by the government.

In this area,  strong wind mostly comes from the north-east, from the sea towards the land. To optimize this wind power, turbines were installed along the shore facing the sea, effectively removing wind breaks, without sacrificing the use of land  between the turbines for other purposes.

The 'Wind Farm" as it is aptly called consist of 20 wind turbines. The turbines are on-shore and arranged in a single row spaced 326 meters apart. The turbines' hub height  is 70 meters  (roughly equivalent to a 23 storey building) with each blade 41 meters long (just 9 meters shy of an Olympic-sized pool) giving a rotor diameter of 82 meters and a windswept area of 5,281 square meters.

This picture was taken in a viewing deck along the Maharlika Highway, Bangui, Ilocos Sur, Philippines using my  Olympus Digital cam, three years back.
