Fragile Mother Earth

Mother Earth
thou art the best
of God's creations
in the solar system.

But because of

man’s ingenuity

his utter foolishness

born of greed
devoid of concern
only to meet

his insatiable hunger 

he is hell bent to
harness all
of nature’s gifts
and its potentials
reducing it
to fragile state.

Uncontrolled dumping

of toxic and noxious

non-biodegradable wastes

rampant deforesting
of its vast forests resources
mindless excavations
of its mountains and seas

causing tectonic plates

movements and disturbances

resulting in nature’s retributions

through earthquakes
and frequent tremors.
