Indurated by Time

Century-old elms
Indurated to endure
With nature and time

This is my first serious attempt at Haiku Writing, of course with the help of Yousei Hime. She suggested that I submit it at David L. Harrizon's Blog (the prompt for this month is Time), and I just did. But I wish to share it with my readers here in my space.

  1. Amity,
You are welcome and congratulations. You did a great job. Haiku are tricky. It is relatively easy to write a haiku; it is very hard to write a perfect one. Be sure and check back on David's blog. Others will be reading and commenting on your poem. See you round.

  2. AmitySis,
Thank you. Words and sketches are all mine. I worked on them this morning, at the request of a pesky buffalo. Just kidding--one of my blogger buddies suggested it. I couldn't resist. Glad you like them. They were a lot of fun.

  28. Hi Amity,

It's wonderful you're trying out haiku. I like that haiku-writing has been helping me be more observant and disciplined and tolerant. Enjoy the journey!
